More About Lisa
I have been working in teaching for over 20 years and have much experience in working with children who need extra support in their learning. My main areas of tutoring are Maths and English but I am also interested in science and can help children by supporting their school work in this field.
I have worked as a Montessori teacher in London for many years before moving back to Sussex several years ago where I currently tutor and teach locally.
I feel it is very important to have good communication with both parents/guardians and carers, as well as the children, and that this helps to ensure I deliver exactly what the child needs in their lessons.
I also create individual plans and learning journeys for the children, and work with the parents/guardians and carers on a regular basis, giving both feedback and discussion as to what is needed for the forthcoming lessons.
I have much experience in working with dyslexic children and children who find class teaching does not give them a chance to consolidate their learning. I also support children who have missed areas of learning due to school moves and covid.
Please take a moment to read my testimonial page for feedback from families I have worked with.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like any further information.
I would like to write a few lines to try to express my gratitude for all that Lisa did for my family and me. She is such a dedicated manager, so passionate about her career and so much caring about children, parents and staffs. She was always welcome to listen to parents and staffs if there was any question or any doubt about any thing. And of course her professional advices and her fundamental role in my children’s early year development always have been gratefully appreciated. Thank you so much for being so kind. All our best wishes to you and your future.

All children are given a FREE initial assessment to determine what year level they’re currently working at and to identify any learning gaps.
Parents/guardians or carers are kept fully briefed as to the outcome of each lesson, and are involved in the input of the on-going lessons. I will frequently work out a projection of what we would like to achieve over the time that I am working with the child and then share this with the parents/guardians or carers and the child involved.
